Yala, the second-largest national park, is a vast area of grassland and dry woodland. This is a home to many mammals, including elephants and leopards. You also can see many reptiles, birds, and fauna of the lagoon. During the dry season, the majority of the animals can be seen around the waterholes. There is a high chance of encountering a harmless young bull elephant, who loves to charge at the jeep playfully.
